Company Name: Gold Field Deep Mines Company of Nevada
Company Location: Nevada
Company Information: Under this name, the company seems to have been in business starting in 1920 in Nevada as a precious metals and minerals mining company, then stopped operating mines and started selling land and claims from 1959-1972, before resuming mining operations. The GDM pieces pictured below were likely produced sometime between 1977-1981 as presentation pieces to lure investors into an ore purchase program that involved, among other things, a fake lending institution and an SEC investigation. A company under the same name and ownership was also incorporated in 1977 in San Bernardino, CA, and was successfully sued by the United States and shut down for operating in the National Forest. A search with the company name and John Rebenstorf III will uncover more info. (OPA)
